How to install a theme on the PS3 |
Installing a new theme on your PlayStation 3 is quite simple.
You can download the theme using your PC or Mac for easy browsing and transfer it to the PS3 with an USB pen or external HD. Or you can download it on the PlayStation using the internet browser.
Using a PC/Mac and a pen/external HD
- Download the .p3t file for the theme you
want to install.
- Get an USB pen (or external HD) and create the directory
PS3.
- Inside the PS3 directory create another one
called THEME.
- Copy the .p3t file into PS3/THEME on the
pen.
- Insert the pen on the PlayStation 3 and turn
it on.
- Go to Settings - Theme Settings - Theme
and click Install.
- Look for the theme inside the pen and
install it.
- Go to Settings - Theme Settings - Theme,
pick the theme and click apply.
Using the PlayStation internet browser
- Launch the internet browser and surf to
playstation3themes.com.
- Login with your user/pass and find the
theme you want.
- Download the theme to the PlayStation
hard drive.
- Go to Settings - Theme Settings - Theme,
pick the theme and click apply.
When downloading directly to the PS3 you must get the .p3t file, it wont work if the file is zipped.
